Ciaran Connell has over 33 years experience of the communications and semiconductor industry, and has gained Fortune 500 experience in Strategy, Operations, Business Development and Corporate Investments & Acquisitions. Ciaran has extensive experience in identifying, starting, penetrating, building and developing new technology markets in the semiconductor arena.
Prior to Decawave, Ciaran headed Strategy and Business Development (EMEA) at Freescale France. Prior to that Ciaran worked at Motorola in France and the US, and Cornel.
Michael McLaughlin is a veteran of more than 33 years of the communications and semiconductor industry, and is an acknowledged authority on ultra wideband. Active in IEEE UWB standards development since 2002, Michael proposed and had ratified key parts of the IEEE802.15.4a standard. Michael is the author of Decawave’s patents.
Prior to Decawave, Michael worked with Parthus, and was chief technologist at Cornel Electronics and Lake Datacommunications.
Graeme N Walker
Graeme N Walker
Graeme has over 25 years of finance experience including 20 years in the semiconductor industry. Graeme is responsible for all investor relations, corporate finance, strategy planning, financial management and corporate governance activities at DecaWave.
Prior to jointing DecaWave, Graeme was the CFO of MicroEmissive Displays plc and Freescale EMEA. Graeme also held senior roles at Motorola and Rolls-Royce.
William McFadden is a 27 year veteran of the communications and semiconductor industry, with experience in senior level program management, systems architecture, hardware design, and business unit strategy development in a range of wired and wireless technology developments including SONET/SDH, WLAN, WPAN and Bluetooth.
Prior to joining Decawave, William held positions with Duolog, Parthus, AT&T and Lucent Technologies.
Luc Darmon is a 27 year veteran of the communications and semiconductor industry. Luc has extensive experience in complex technical customer offers in the high-tech and semiconductor domains, including development and commercial contract negotiation, business development, partnerships, alliances and customer relationship building.
Prior to joining DecaWave, Luc worked in strategic marketing and management roles with Freescale and Siemens Automotive. Luc holds a EE MSc degree specializing in electronics and signal processing from the Ecole Nationale Superieure d’Electricite, Electronique, Informatique et Hydraulique in Toulouse, France.
Gerry has 27 years experience in the technology sector with both design and managerial capabilities. Gerry is responsible for customer account management, hardware & software design and the management of complex, multi-site engineering programs at DecaWave. Prior to joining DecaWave, Gerry was the Engineering Director at Silansys Semiconductor and was Project Manger at Frontier Silicon. Gerry also held senior roles at Parthusceva, Microsol, Invotron and Graftel Systems.
Bob is 30+ year seasoned veteran of the semiconductor industry. He has been selling wireless technologies including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and cellular for more than two decades to major, tier-one consumer electronic, enterprise and commercial OEMs on a worldwide basis. For the past 16 years, he has been a Worldwide Vice President of Sales, managing the global revenues of both large, multi-national companies (Qualcomm, Agere Systems) as well as venture-backed firms (Airgo Networks, Luxtera and Gainspan). In these roles, he’s been responsible for managing all sales and field applications-related positions in his companies, and was responsible for rapid customer design-win engagement and topline revenue growth for the organizations. Bob earned his Bachelor of Science Degree with honors from the Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York.
Paul is Decawave’s Shenzhen-based GM, Internet of Things. Prior to joining Decawave, Paul held a number of positions in VC-backed startups including CEO of Senseg (Helsinki/Hong Kong, now part of O-Film), COO for Movidius (Dublin/Hong Kong, now part of Intel), COO of Chipidea (Lisbon, now part of Synopsys) and CEO & co-founder of Massana, a Dublin and Palo Alto based fabless semiconductor firm focused on the Gigabit Ethernet market that was acquired by Agere Systems (now part of LSI Corp.) in 2003.
Paul began his career as a GSM chipset developer for Alcatel. He holds an MSEE degree from Northeastern University and a BE degree from University College, Dublin.
A 23 year veteran of the semiconductor industry, Paul brings extensive experience in strategy development and product development of complex, multi-generational technology products. His In-depth understanding of technologies, competitors, and emerging technology has made him adept at merging diverse technologies and fusing concepts to create industry-leading solutions and innovative products.
Before joining Decawave, Paul held positions at Analog Devices, Maxim Integrated, and Vital Connect. He holds a Ph.D. in electronic engineering from Dublin City University.
