DECAWAVE SCENSOR
REVOLUTIONARY PRECISION, ULTRA LOW POWER, VERY LOW COST: THE FUTURE OF RTLS AND SENSOR NETWORKS
DecaWave is the pioneering fabless semiconductor company whose flagship product ScenSor is a complete, single chip CMOS ultra-wideband IC based on the IEEE 802.15.4a standard*, and building a family of parts working at rates 110kbps, 850kbps, 6.8Mbps, and 27Mbps. Read more...
Real Time Location Systems to 10cm Precision
Real Time Location Systems are used to track and identify the location of objects in real time generally using simple, inexpensive nodes (badges/tags) attached to or embedded in objects to be located / tracked. These tags transmit wireless signals to devices called readers that use the wireless signals from the tags to determine their location.
DecaWave's technology gives RTLS systems developers the ability, for the first time, to locate tagged objects to a precision of 10cm at a distance of 450m in Line-of-Sight (LOS) mode and 45m in Non-Line-of-Sight (NLOS) mode. [more]
Wireless Sensor Networks:
Ultra low power consumption
A wireless sensor network consists of spatially distributed autonomous sensors to cooperatively monitor physical or environmental conditions, such as temperature, sound, vibration, pressure, motion or pollutants.
WSN are deployed in many industrial and civilian application areas, including industrial process monitoring and control, machine health monitoring, environment and habitat monitoring, healthcare applications, home automation, and traffic control and monitoring. [more]
